Downtown Ministries’ Emerging Leaders Internship Program exists to provide young adults the opportunity to experience professional and personal development in the nonprofit sector; creating the next generation of godly nonprofit and public-minded leaders.
The Emerging Leaders Internship Program was founded at Downtown Ministries in the Summer of 2022. What starting with one intern has since blossomed into seven official partnerships with the University of Georgia, one partnership with Athens Technical College, and over $100,000 of federal funding. Since Summer of 2022, we have had over 69 different individuals complete 104 internships semesters.
