Building the future of a community extends far beyond sports programs and classrooms. In addition to Downtown Sports and Downtown Academy, Downtown Ministries offers dynamic programs that allow dedicated community members to invest in the Athens community: Our Daily Bread, After School Program, Lunch Buddies, and Emerging Leaders.

Our Daily Bread
ODB provides free meals in a safe environment where individuals are connected to essential resources, supported by caring partners, and reminded that they are valued.
After School Program
A place where our children have the opportunity to work on their homework with the help of an adult.
Lunch Buddies
Lunch Buddies are community volunteers who seek to build a positive relationship with Downtown Academy students through regularly sharing a meal during the school day.
Emerging Leaders
Our Emerging Leaders are college students interning with Downtown Ministries in order to gain leadership skills and exposure to the nonprofit sector.
